Paper Stocks Selections:

For inside pages: The above three paper stock types are widely used material for inside pages of a book. Woodfree paper are light milk white color, it looks natural, it helps protect eyes from strains after long time reading. Woodfree paper is a kind of top grade paper, it’s water resistance and suitable for both single color and colorful printings. Offset paper is a very common stock for books, it’s easy to write on and with lightly rugged surface.

For cover pages: There are many kinds of stock for covers, including art paper, woodfree paper, and we also offer different special paper, which are very nice stocks, many clients will like that.
Dust jack, also called dust wrapper or dust cover, act as extra protection on cover of the book.

Book Size:
Normally clients decide their own size for their books, and if you need help or advice from us, please contact us.
Finishing:
We suggest a gloss or matt lamination should be applied on outside cover. It helps to protect the cover from scratches, color off issues, and be more durable. Attractive cover helps books look more professional and worthy to read.
Binding:

Perfect bound is the common use binding for books.
If clients require that the catalogs to be more durable for their audience and want the pages to be stick on books firmly and not separates due to many times reading by readers, then sewed paperback should be recommended. Sewed paperback also be applied if the catalog is very thick with more 200+ pages.
If you are looking to produce a higher end book, then case bound (hard cover) is the best choice. Art paper with matt lamination is commonly a top layer for a hard cover, while some clients look for higher quality look on cover and willing to pay for cost, cloth or leather material can be applied.
IM color offers a special kind of cover material, we call it imitation leather, it looks like leather, but it’s also paper stock. This kind of material cost much lower than cloth or leather, but it looks expensive, which should be an ideal selection for those who is looking for high end books, but would like keep lower cost.

Special Processing:
To achieve special effect, some books will be go through some special treatment such as spot UV, embossing, golden or silver hot stamping. These normally applied on outside cover pages, which make your books more attractive.

Shipments:
1. Ocean shipment
Ocean shipment is used very widely as shipment option. Depending on the locations, ocean shipment generally takes one month time. Some area need to takes longer time if transship is required to destination port.
Bulk cargo or full container?
Depends on total volume of your order, two loading options are available, Bulk cargo(LCL-less than container load) or full container(FCL-full container load), normally under 24 cubic meters, we use bulk cargo; and over 24 cubic meters, we should use full container?
Container selection: 20”GP, 40”GP, or 40”HC?

2. Courier shipment (Air Shipment)
Clients may have a very tight time schedule and require quick shipment; courier shipment is a good choice. Besides, for some smaller orders, that with smaller volume and lower weights, it should be more worthy to ship via air instead of ocean. We will advice our clients for this after we calculate the weight and volume for their order.
General courier shipment service takes 5-10 days, depends on the area that cargo delivered to. For highly emergency order, expedite courier could be applied, which is delivered within 2-3 days.
Packaging:
I’M color use export-standard packaging, standard quality cartons, which can perfectly protect products from damages during shipments. For extra heavy packs, we add double yellow bands.
We also provide variety of inside packaging selections such as blister; PP bags; craft paper wrapping; inside cartons. If you need to add these, please make sure to let us know before your order.
We can supply wood pallets with fumigation certificates, so you can save cost getting the certificates for shipments and save time! Plastic pallets are also available, which don’t require certificate of fumigation. Please contact us if you need more information from this.
