Paper Stocks Selections:
✦gloss art paper (C1S & C2S)
✦ matt art paper
Gloss art paper is the right stock for magazines printing.
For inside pages: Magazines are always thick, so they require thinner paper stock, we suggest the 70gsm, 80gsm and 128gsm gloss art paper.
For Cover pages: Cover pages should be little thicker than inside pages, so it act as protections and also help magazine look nicer. We suggest 157gsm or 200gsm either gloss art or matt art.

Magazine Size:
8.3″ x 11.7″ (A4– 210 x 297mm) the most commonly used size for magazines. Under U.S. size system, they use 8.5″ x 11″ (216 x 279mm)
The other size that our clients may use include：
9″ * 12″ — 230*305 mm
6″ * 9″ – 153*229 mm
You may select a size that you like or contact us for suggestions.
Finishing:
We suggest a gloss or matt lamination should be applied on outside cover. It helps to protect the cover from scratches, color off issues, and be more durable. Magazines with laminated covers look nicer. Some clients also require aqueous coating on each inside page, so the whole magazine become much high end.
Binding:
Binding methods that can be applied including
❁ saddle stitching
❁ perfect binding (perfect bound)
❁ thread sewn (sewed paperback)
Perfect bound and saddle stitching are widely applied on magazines as binding type. Saddle stitching has limitations that if magazine is too thick or with many pages, this binding could not be applied. Depends on what is the weight of paper stock they choose, magazine with 50+ pages are suggested to stay with perfect bound binding.
If clients require that the magazines to be more durable for their readers and want the pages to be stick to the magazines firmly and not separates due to many times reading by readers, then sewed paperback should be recommended. Sewed paperback also be applied if the catalog is very thick with more 200+ pages.

Special Processing:
To achieve special effect, some magazines applied special treatments such as spot UV, embossing, golden or silver hot stamping.

Shipments:
1. Ocean shipment
Ocean shipment is used very widely as shipment option. Depending on the locations, ocean shipment generally takes one month time. Some area need to takes longer time if transship is required to destination port.
Bulk cargo or full container?
Depends on total volume of your order, two loading options are available, Bulk cargo(LCL-less than container load) or full container(FCL-full container load), normally under 24 cubic meters, we use bulk cargo; and over 24 cubic meters, we should use full container?
Container selection: 20”GP, 40”GP, or 40”HC?

2. Courier shipment (Air Shipment)
Clients may have a very tight time schedule and require quick shipment; courier shipment is a good choice. Besides, for some smaller orders, that with smaller volume and lower weights, it should be more worthy to ship via air instead of ocean. We will advice our clients for this after we calculate the weight and volume for their order.
General courier shipment service takes 5-10 days, depends on the area that cargo delivered to. For highly emergency order, expedite courier could be applied, which is delivered within 2-3 days.
Packaging:
I’M color use export-standard packaging, standard quality cartons, which can perfectly protect products from damages during shipments. For extra heavy packs, we add double yellow bands.
We also provide variety of inside packaging selections such as blister; PP bags; craft paper wrapping; inside cartons. If you need to add these, please make sure to let us know before your order.
We can supply wood pallets with fumigation certificates, so you can save cost getting the certificates for shipments and save time! Plastic pallets are also available, which don’t require certificate of fumigation. Please contact us if you need more information from this.
