Paper Stocks Selections: ✦gloss art paper (C1S & C2S) ✦matt art paper
Art paper is widely used for catalogs by our clients. You can select gloss or matt effect by your own preference. Gloss art paper normally applied more often, while some clients want their catalogs look special and higher quality, they will choose matt art paper
When you decide what paper type to go with, then how to choose the thickness and weight?
For inside pages:157gsm art paper and 128gsm are the best choice for a quality catalog. If you have many products to show, then you might need 200+ pages, 70gsm and 80gsm should be choice for this situation.
For Cover pages:250gsm is good to match with 157gsm inside pages, while 128gsm is good to match with 80gsm inside pages.

Catalogs Size: 8.3″ x 11.7″ (A4– 210 x 297mm) and5.8″ x 8.3″(A5—148 x 210mm) are the two most commonly used size for catalogs. Under U.S. size system, they use 8.5″ x 11″ (216 x 279mm) and 5.5″ x 8.5″ (139 x 216mm).
The other size that our clients normally use include： 9″ x 16″ – 230 x 406 mm 9″ x 12″ – 230 x 305 mm 6″ x 9″ – 153 x 229 mm 6″ x 6″ – 153 x 153 mm 12″ x 12″ – 305 x 305 mm
You may select a size that you like or contact us for suggestions.
Finishing: We suggest a gloss or matt lamination should be applied on outside cover. It helps to protect the cover from scratches, color off issues, and be more durable. The whole catalog also looks nicer with laminations on cover and being more attractive. Cost of adding this finishing step is not much and should be worthy.
Binding: Binding methods that can be applied including ❁ saddle stitching ❁ perfect binding (perfect bound) ❁ thread sewn (sewed paperback) ❁ wire-o ring binding
Perfect bound is the common use binding for catalogs binding.
Some clients require saddle stitching which is of little lower cost but there is a limitation that it could not applied on catalogs over 50 pages. If you still prefer to use this binding, please contact us for recommendations.
If clients require that the catalogs to be more durable for their audience and want the pages to be stick to the catalogs firmly and not separates due to many times reading by users, then sewed paperback should be recommended. Sewed paperback also be applied if the catalog is very thick with more 200+ pages.

Special Processing: To achieve special effect, some catalogs will be go through some special treatment such as spot UV, embossing, golden or silver hot stamping. These normally applied on outside cover pages, which make your catalogs more attractive.

Shipments:
1. Ocean shipment
Ocean shipment is used very widely as shipment option. Depending on the locations, ocean shipment generally takes one month time. Some area need to takes longer time if transship is required to destination port.
Bulk cargo or full container? Depends on total volume of your order, two loading options are available, Bulk cargo(LCL-less than container load) or full container(FCL-full container load), normally under 24 cubic meters, we use bulk cargo; and over 24 cubic meters, we should use full container?
Container selection: 20”GP, 40”GP, or 40”HC? Below is a chart for selecting right container size.</span >

2. Courier shipment (Air Shipment)
Clients may have a very tight time schedule and require quick shipment; courier shipment is a good choice. Besides, for some smaller orders, that with smaller volume and lower weights, it should be more worthy to ship via air instead of ocean. We will advice our clients for this after we calculate the weight and volume for their order.
General courier shipment service takes 5-10 days, depends on the area that cargo delivered to. For highly emergency order, expedite courier could be applied, which is delivered within 2-3 days.
Packaging:
I’M color use export-standard packaging, standard quality cartons, which can perfectly protect products from damages during shipments. For extra heavy packs, we add double yellow bands.
We also provide variety of inside packaging selections such as blister; PP bags; craft paper wrapping; inside cartons. If you need to add these, please make sure to let us know before your order.
We can supply wood pallets with fumigation certificates, so you can save cost getting the certificates for shipments and save time! Plastic pallets are also available, which don’t require certificate of fumigation. Please contact us if you need more information from this.
